Der rechteckige Garagenschacht mit verzinktem Gitterrost dient der Sammlung und optionalen Ableitung des anfallenden Schmutzwassers im Garagenbereich. Der Zulauf erfolgt über das Einlaufgitter. Der Garagenschacht wird bündig mit dem Bodenbelag in Beton eingebettet. Durch bauseitige Herstellung von Öffnungen mit Durchmesser 125mm und Installation von Lippendichtungen DN110 kann das Schmutzwasser mittels handelsüblichen Rohren DN110 abgeleitet werden.

Sind Waschmaschinen, Toiletten oder Duschen in einem Keller unterhalb der Rückstauebene (Straßenoberkante) vorhanden und fließt deren Abwasser im natürlichen Gefälle zum öffentlichen Kanal, so kann das in Ausnahmesituationen, wie Überlastung der öffentlichen Kanalisation, zu einer Überflutung der anliegenden Räume führen.
Dadurch entsteht neben dem materiellen Schaden, z. B. Wasserschaden an Einrichtungsgegenständen oder Bauschäden durch Durchfeuchtung des Mauerwerks, auch ein erheblicher Reinigungsaufwand. Weder die Gemeinden noch der Großteil der Versicherungen tragen die Kosten für Wasserschäden, die durch Rückstau verursacht wurden (siehe auch ÖNORM B 2501 bzw. EN 12056-1 und EN 12050 i.d.g.F.). Die Lösung sind Rückstausysteme!

Armaturenschächte aus Polypropylen (PP) für erdverlegte Installations- und Bewässerungssysteme.
Die PP-Armaturenschächte eignen sich ideal für die geschützte Montage von Handarmaturen, Wasserzähler uvm. Die grüne Kunststoffschachtabdeckung lässt sich aufgrund des vorhandenen Fingerlochs leicht öffnen und ermöglicht einen einfachen Zugang zu den Armaturen. Abgeschrägte Rahmenkanten schützen die PP-Kleinschachtsystem gegen Beschädigungen durch Rasenmäher.
